Fans were concerned this March when pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau withdrew from the 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational due to wrist and hip injuries.
DeChambeau on His Decision to Withdraw
DeChambeau has been prioritizing his healing and came to the conclusion that he just wasn’t ready for the Arnold Palmer Invitational this year. He had this to say about the decision to withdraw:
“Man, tough decision right now. I have a lot of work to do to get everything back into order for this week. I just feel like it’s too short a time for me to get back 100%, playing at 100% capacity. Right now, I’m like 90%. I just don’t want to go out there and hurt myself even more and not be 100% ready for the rest of the season. I don’t want to come back early and have to take more time off. It’s a hard decision I have to make right now, but I’m going to have to unfortunately not play this week.”
The Future for DeChambeau
After making just three starts so far in 2022, fans are anxious to see whether or not DeChambeau will make an appearance at this year’s Masters Championship from April 7th to 10th.
Although there has been no official word on when DeChambeau will be playing again, he has told the press that he has “many plans in the works” and is “getting ready for something big.”
Hopefully DeChambeau makes a full recovery soon, because golf fans everywhere are eager to see him back on the course and find out what’s next for this golf powerhouse.
