The BMW Championship 2022 was close, with a roster of excellent golfers battling it out for the top 3 spots. Here’s how it went down and who ended up making those top 3 spots.
Patrick Cantlay’s Victory
After a weekend of exciting golf, Patrick Cantlay came out victorious at this year’s BMW Championship. Cantlay also won the BMW Championship in 2021, making this his second consecutive win. The 2022 BMW Championship winner’s purse was $2,700,000.
Xander Schauffele was just one point behind going into the final round, but couldn’t overtake Cantlay. Cantlay won using a Titleist Pro V1x ball. His winning golf bag also contained the Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5 Prototype putter, irons and wedges by Titleist, and woods and driver by Mitsubishi.
Second Place & a Tie for Third
By the end of the championship, Scott Stallings came in 2nd place and Xander Schauffele and Scottie Scheffler tied for 3rd place. Stallings was ahead of Cantlay for a while, but Cantlay’s skillful game proved to be too strong and Stallings came in at 13-under-par, just one shot behind Cantlay. Stallings still earned a pretty penny, though, with a $1,620,000 purse for coming in 2nd place.
Schauffele and Scheffler both played a great game and ended up tying for 3rd place, each earning a purse of $870,000.
Want to play like Patrick Cantlay? Well, we can’t guarantee that but we can hook you up with the same balls he uses, for a great price.
