Patrick Cantlay and Bryson DeChambeau’s Battle for the Win
This year’s BMW Championship ended with a playoff duel, which made for plenty of excitement and dramatic tension. The six-hole playoff had us on our toes the whole time as both DeChambeau and Cantlay laid out some amazing putts, with Cantlay finally taking the win with a giant 18-foot putt on the 18th hole. This gave Cantlay his fifth PGA event win overall and his third PGA event win of the season.
Erik Van Rooyen’s Consistently Impressive Playing
Although Van Rooyen finished in 5th place, watching him play in the BMW Championship was addictive. After having just won the Barracuda Championship, he brought that impressive gameplay to the BMW Championship with really solid, consistent golf and ended the weekend off with an incredible final shot that resulted in a smooth 3-foot putt.
