The Augusta Masters tournament is going to be a little different this year. For one thing, the tournament is taking place from November 12th-15th instead of the usual April dates, and for another thing, there will be no in-person spectators. Safety is the number one priority of the Masters organizers, and for good reason, and while we are a little bummed that this year’s Masters will not be what we’ve come to expect and love, we are very excited to see how it plays out (after all, we’ve been waiting since April!). Here are the top things we’re looking forward to at this year’s Masters:
Seeing How the Pros Navigate the Weather
We can’t predict the weather, but odds are in mid-November the conditions aren’t going to be ideal. Generally speaking, the weather in Augusta in November is on average 10 degrees cooler than in April and noticeably more windy. We can’t wait to see the pros’ techniques for playing in less-than-perfect weather.
Finding Out if Tiger Defends His Win
Winning the Masters last year was Tiger Woods’ first big win in 11 years, so it obviously meant a lot. We’re looking forward to seeing how he plays in order to attempt to win that coveted green jacket again. You can expect him to pull out all the stops and put everything into this one.
Seeing What Morikawa has in Store
We always love watching Colin Morikawa play, and after that amazing eagle on 16th during this year’s PGA, we’re definitely excited to see what he pulls out during the Masters. Morikawa is an exciting young player and is bound to make for some interesting play this November.
Watching McIlroy in His Element
If there’s one player who’s comfortable with fall golfing, it’s Rory McIlroy. He’s won the Tour Championship multiple times in cooler conditions and is at home on a course during less-than-perfect weather. We predict that this year’s Masters is going to show off what makes McIlroy unique, and we’re going to keep our eyes on him.
Watching the Masters is sure to get you in the mood to play yourself! Pick up some golf balls at great prices.
